A big thank you to everyone who made it to Lake Effect on Friday. The event was a big hit and a big deal for our charity, Good Mourning.

Thanks to everyone who helped promote Lake Effect. Today is the day of the event, starting at 5:00pm at Palmer House, 17 E. Monroe.

There is no dress code for the event, it’s a party atmosphere so wear a club outfit or dress up a bit to match the hotel!

When everything gets started on Friday the 28th, here’s the listing of musical entertainment for Lake Effect.

Plain White T’s will be performing in the combined Grand and State Ballroom
-Their concert will go from 9:00pm – 10:30pm

The Melvin Taylor Band will also be in the Grand and State Ballroom
-They will be performing from 5:00pm – 8:30pm
-And again from 11:00pm – Midnight

Gentlemen of Leisure will be playing all night long in the Red Lacquer Room
-As a Trio from 5pm – 6pm
-As a Duo from 6pm – 7pm
-With the Full Band from 7pm – Midnight

We just recieved a preliminary menu from Palmer House for the food at Lake Effect and it looks amazing.

• Proscuitto Wrapped Cantalope with Cracked Black Pepper, Sea Salt and Truffle Oil.
• Tender Chicken marinated in Tandoori Powder, Chile, Cumin and Fresh Garlic with Yogurt Raita.
• Vegtable, Shrimp, Chicken and Pork Pot Stickers steamed in bamboo and finished on the grill with Soy, Ginger Teriyaki and Thai Chili Sauce.
• Grilled Miniature Rubens with Pumpernickel Bread, Corned Beef, Sauerkraut and Thousand Island.
• Ice Cream Sundae Bar with a Cookie Lollipop Garden.
